Racial Equity in the City: A Community Conversation
For years, communities of color in Portland have organized for government to respond to institutional racism. That community activism led to the creation of the Office of Equity and Human Rights which has focused on institutionalizing equity throughout the City bureaus' policies, practices, and procedures.
Join MRG Foundation and the City of Portland as we host a community conversation about racial equity in City government.
We will discuss:
the importance of racial equity
the role, progress, and challenges of the City's Office of Equity and Human Rights
community equity needs and concerns
how the Office of Equity and Human Rights can support and be more responsive to community
how community can hold City government accountable
Limited to the first 150 attendees, due to event space limitations.
